Claude Streit

Chief Executive Officer

Claude Streit joined in 2019.

Claude previously spent 7 years in senior finance leadership roles at Hirslanden - the leading private acute care hospital group in Switzerland. Hirslanden is part of Mediclinic International, an international private healthcare services group listed on the London Stock Exchange (“LSE”).

During his tenure as Head of Group Controlling and Business Unit Financial Management and Member of the Operations Committee he lead the organisational transformation from a group of independent hospitals to a highly integrated hospital group. He was instrumental in building out the new financial setup of Hirslanden including a new Enterprise Resource Planning system that provides a highly integrated value flows across functions. Furthermore, he established a reputation for aligning financial and business metrics to support business strategy and high-growth.

Claude started his career in consulting. He earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of St. Gallen, majoring in Finance, Accounting and Reporting. Outside work, Claude loves to travel, spend time outdoors and enjoys running and skiing.

Dr Farzeela Rupani

Chief Medical Officer

Dr Farzeela Rupani joined in 2022.

Dr Farzeela Rupani serves as the Chief Medical Officer at Colosseum Dental Group, including the UK. With extensive experience in dental practice and business management, Farzeela leads on clinical governance and strategy, ensuring high standards of patient care across Colosseum Dental Group.

Farzeela is a GDP by background with an interest in cosmetic dentistry and orthodontics, having qualified in 2006 from Kings College London. Following her Vocational Training year, she worked in mixed practices across north London and Hertfordshire with high NHS delivery commitments.

Farzeela’s interest in business management, health policy and leadership, led her to embark on an MSc in International Health Management, leading to a healthcare consulting role at KPMG. She worked with different NHS trusts on improving operations and quality and making efficiency savings whilst being mindful of the clinical impact. Farzeela subsequently took on a role at the GDC within Fitness to Practise, initially as an Investigating Committee member and latterly as a Clinical Case Examiner.

Prior to joining Colosseum Dental UK, Farzeela advised and sat on the Senior Leadership Team of a major dental supplier. Additionally, she has extensive teaching and mentoring experience, having taught BDS undergraduates, which she is really passionate about.

Outside of work, Farzeela enjoys travelling, cycling, baking (and eating!), and competing with her two sons for steps on their pedometers!

Lee Catlin

Head of Recruitment & Retention

Lee Catlin joined in 2019.

Lee Catlin began his career after graduating from Kingston University with a degree in Chemistry. He then decided to take a different route and joined a well-known retailer as part of their management scheme.

Over the next 16 years, Lee built a career in operations within some of the UK's top retailers. In 2019, he saw potential in Colosseum Dental UK and seized the opportunity to join the company. Starting as a Regional Operations Manager, he successfully managed two regions over three years, building a strong team and delivering impressive results.

In late 2021, Lee transitioned to the recruitment team as the Head of Recruitment, leveraging his operations expertise and dentistry background. From day one, he aimed to provide the best end-to-end recruitment experience for candidates, enhancing the company's reputation in the market. His flexible approach to recruitment channels has given Colosseum Dental an edge over competitors.

Lee is dedicated to finding the best talent on the market, both employed and self-employed. His team focuses on building strong external and internal relationships, providing comprehensive recruitment support.

Outside of work, Lee is a father of three and has a passion for sports. He spends his spare time either at the gym or entertaining his children.

Charlotte Low

Head of Operations

Charlotte Low joined in 2019.

Charlotte has worked in dentistry for over eight years, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills in managing a group of successful private and referral practices. She joined Colosseum Dental to establish their Integrations business and has since transitioned into an operational role, where she leads the team in delivering both NHS and private services.

With a keen eye for analytics and strategy, Charlotte is a Chartered Accountant and holds an MSc in Accountancy, a field that defined the early part of her career before she transitioned into the dental industry.

Outside of her professional achievements, Charlotte enjoys exploring new cities while on holiday, baking sweet treats, and staying busy with her two children.

Nikki Bebbington

Head of People

Nikki Bebbington joined in 2019.

Before joining Colosseum Dental UK in 2019, Nikki spent 15 years in People & HR roles within one of the UK’s largest retailers, both in the UK and overseas. She began her career on the shop floor as part of a fast-track program, gaining comprehensive experience across all retail areas and eventually progressing to Store Management.
 
Transitioning into Human Resources, Nikki led local operational change initiatives and supported transformational and structural changes in the UK and Asia. Her passion for making a difference for people, along with her belief in the importance of learning and development opportunities, drew her to Colosseum Dental UK.
 
As a strong advocate for career development and internal succession, Nikki has established career pathways, introduced performance structures, and made succession planning an integral part of the culture at CDUK.
 
In her spare time, Nikki enjoys long countryside walks with her dog, cooking for friends and family, and reading.

Mark Tyas

Head of Finance

Mark Tyas joined in 2021.

Mark began his accounting career in 2012 as a Purchase Ledger specialist with a prominent Veterinary Group. Ambitiously pursuing further education through the ACCA (Association of Certified and Chartered Accountants), he earned an Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Business, eventually advancing to the role of Senior Management Accountant.
 
In 2019, Mark became the Finance Manager for a niche food and beauty producer and wholesaler, where he excelled in process optimisation and improving cash flow and operational efficiency. However, despite his passion for finance and numbers, Mark has always preferred working in environments that provide care and give back: he believes profitability should enable businesses to improve lives.
 
After joining Colosseum Dental UK in 2021, Mark quickly progressed from Senior Accountant to Head of Finance within two years, reflecting his dedication, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills. As Head of Finance, he continues to drive financial excellence and sustainable growth.

Outside of work, Mark enjoys fitness and dancing, which helps him keep up with his nieces and nephews.

Simon Matheou

Head of Property

Simon Matheou joined in 2019.

 Simon is a Chartered Building Engineer with a background in residential and healthcare property management, developments, and refurbishment schemes. He joined Colosseum Dental UK in 2019.
 
After graduating from the University of the West of England, Simon has accumulated over 30 years of experience in the property management sector. His extensive technical knowledge and well-rounded, first-hand experience in the property and facilities industry ensure that all practical and compliance matters are handled with the utmost care and competence.
 
In his role, Simon oversees all landlord and lease obligations, manages lease negotiations and rentals, and ensures adherence to tenant obligations. His comprehensive expertise ensures that these responsibilities are managed effectively and efficiently.
 
Outside of his professional life, Simon has a keen interest in metal detecting, car memorabilia, and fishing. Above all else, he values spending time with his family.

Katie Palmer

Head of Marketing

Katie Palmer joined in 2022.

Katie joined the business in October 2022, after 25 years of specialising in retail and brand marketing. Her background includes a mix of agency and in house roles, working with brands such as Boots, B&Q, Wordery, Superdrug, Homebase, SecretSales.com and People Tree.
 
Katie joined Colosseum Dental in pursuit of a role with a company that makes a difference to people’s lives, which Colosseum achieves not only through delivering excellent patient care, but also, through our charity founder and sole financial beneficiary; The Jacobs Foundation.
 
Katie’s broad experience across multiple industries has provided her with a multi-channel skill mix, which benefits Colosseum Dental’s need for marketing and communications focus both internally and externally. She is fiercely protective of the Colosseum brand and manages a team of three to deliver a comprehensive comms plan, a busy events programme and marketing support to our practice teams.
 
In her personal time, Katie heads-up another team at home in her role as ‘Mum’ (with three sons and an energetic labrador to keep in order!). She enjoys family trips to the Isle of Wight, long dog walks, discovering empty beaches and a well made G&T.
