Colosseum Dental UK would like to send a huge thank you to everyone in our teams who purchased tickets for the recent raffles held at our recent Practice Manager Activation Day and our “Next Chapter” meeting.
The generosity of our people helped to raise £780 for the Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal of the Disasters Emergency Committee; and to ensure a meaningful impact, Colosseum Dental UK have topped up this amount to £5,000.
In addition to the donation to the DEC, Colosseum Dental UK are gathering samples of toothpastes, toothbrushes etc. from our suppliers to donate to local community groups and organisations who are organising collections for refugees. We are actively encouraging our practices to request these supplies and in turn, continue to offer support for those in need.
As a wider group, Colosseum Dental have been helping Ukraine in the following ways:
- Colosseum Benelux are providing free of charge dental care for refugees and have donated funds to support any refugees on the borders
- Colosseum Denmark are offering free dental treatment to Ukrainian refugees
- Colosseum Germany have donated to Roterkeil, an NGO fighting against child and youth prostitution and human trafficking, issues that are sadly impacting many refugees from Ukraine
- Oral, Finland supported Ukraine amid the start of the crisis by donating to the Red Cross Disaster Fund
- Colosseum Dental Italy: Mirò Dental arranged a large donation of PPE for Ukrainian dentists and NGOs working on the borders, DentalCoop provided free treatments to refugees from Ukraine
- Colosseum Norway donated to the Red Cross, helping to support refugees
- Smile Sweden donated to UNICEF to provide humanitarian aid for the children of Ukraine
- Swiss Smile are treating non-registered Ukrainian refugees needing emergency care on an individual basis in Switzerland (the Swiss government treats all registered refugees)
We are proud of the exceptional Good Neighbour spirit and our teams' work at Colosseum Dental Group, and we will continue to look for further ways to support the people of Ukraine at this incredibly difficult time.
