A place of learning and improvement
The opportunity to visit the prestigious Colosseum Dental Academy is not one to be missed. Established in 2019, this state-of-the-art training centre offers first-class educational programmes to all Colosseum Dental UK clinicians. The Master Curriculum Programme is scientifically- and evidence-based, designed to train dentists in different clinical disciplines.
The first disciplines available will be endodontics, prosthodontics and oral surgery, with each one containing two-course modules. Delegates who are enrolled in these courses have 30 days to learn from the lectures – after the 30 days, they’ll meet with the teachers on a two-hour webinar so they can ask questions, discuss ideas and gain any additional information. The courses provide 4 to 7 theoretical lectures and hands-on demonstrations on 3D teeth and models.
At the end, delegates will receive a certificate and become eligible to participate in the hands-on course at the Colosseum Dental Academy in Oslo, on the specific module and discipline.
Don’t just take it from us...
From 31st March – 1st June 2022, three of our associates were offered the exciting opportunity to visit the Colosseum Dental Academy. They got to experience a hands-on training day where they learned technical skills in endodontics and digital dentistry.
Dr Mahammed, from our Kenton Dental Centre, shared his views of the two-day experience:
“The visit to the Academy was fantastic, and the reception we received was very warm and welcoming.
“The Academy has advanced and well-developed academic as well as hands-on facilities. The hands-on facilities are very forward thinking, and we got to use most of the instruments in the lab.
“What I really found interesting was that we were given a lecture immediately followed by placing what we have learnt into practice – this made the learning experience much easier, as you can apply what was taught in the lecture, and if any problems were encountered, we were able to get an answer there and then.
“Dr Giberto Debelian and Dr Henrik Skjerven were outstanding in their approach to dentistry and delivery of the knowledge and experience.
“Once again thank you for the opportunity for us to visit the centre.”
