Financing & Payment Options

Let's keep things simple.

Detailed below are the various payment options. From the NHS fee structure to a quick and easy options to spread the cost of your treatment(s).

NHS Dental Charges

The charge you pay depends on the treatment you need to keep your mouth and gums healthy. You will only ever be asked to pay one charge for each complete course of treatment, even if you need to visit the dentist more than once to finish it. There are 3 bands of treatment plan under the NHS [see below].

Cosmetic treatments, including treatments such as veneers, braces and teeth whitening are not available on the NHS unless there is a clear dental health need for them. This includes common treatments such as white fillings. If you are unsure whether a treatment is covered by the NHS then chat to your local practice reception team who can let you know.

Band 1:

Covers an examination, diagnosis and advice. If necessary, it also includes X-rays, a scale and polish, and planning for further treatment.

Band 2:

Covers all treatment included in Band 1, plus additional treatment, such as fillings, root canal treatment and removing teeth (extractions).

Band 3:

Covers all treatment included Bands 1, 2, plus more complex procedures, such as crowns, dentures and bridges.

Dental Finance

Smile Now. Pay Later.
A quick and easy option to spread the cost of your treatment.
For when your perfect smile is an investment that you want to make, but you don’t have the money right now, we have payment options to suit. Our financing covers any dental treatments over £300 and means you can start your treatments sooner rather than later.
For payment plans of up to 12 months, we offer 0% interest. For payment plans which are over 12 months we offer a competitive rate of interest. Payments are made monthly by Direct Debit, at a fixed cost, so there are no surprises.
We use finance through Dental Finance, who are experts at offering payment plans for dental treatments. Your Practice will go through the finance options with you and once you’ve chosen the one that’s right for you, you fill out a short form and provide ID, and the application is submitted.
A decision is made by email to the practice within 10 minutes to let us know if your application was successful. Once it is approved, you’ll need to sign the agreement and the paperwork is processed. As with all financial agreements, you have 14 days as a cooling off period in case you change your mind.

Private Healthcare Plans

If you have private health insurance or are signed up to a policy through your employer, it is worth finding out if your plan includes cashback payments to cover dental care. These can often be used at both NHS and private dentists, depending on the coverage that you have. If you have a policy like this, you can check with them what is covered.

Some policies include payments for routine appointments and money towards other one-off payments depending on the treatment you need.
Here at Colosseum we are able to accept most private health care plans, it’s best to contact your local practice to find out if we work with yours.
