Vangelis is a caring, ethical and friendly General Dental Practitioner. After graduating from Kings College London (Guy’s, Kings, and St Thomas’ Hospitals), Vangelis completed his foundation training under the East of England Deanery. Vangelis enjoys many aspects of general dentistry and offers a broad variety of treatments in both NHS and Private dentistry, He is a certified Invisalign doctor and has a particular interest in improving peoples smiles by straightening teeth and re-shaping teeth using cosmetic composite bonding. Further to this, Vangelis is a certified 'Enlighten Tooth Whitening' provider.

Vangelis has been awarded the postgraduate diploma of Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties at The Royal College of Surgeons of England (MJDF), reflecting the developments he has made professionally.

Vangelis is married and has two sons. He enjoys visiting friends and family and is a keen sports fan, particularly enjoying football.

Assif is our resident specialist in prosthodontics, which covers implant and restorative dentistry at Handside Dental Clinic.

Assif qualified from the Royal London Hospital in 2002. After completing vocational training he gained experience as a Senior House officer in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery throughout the hospitals in Hertfordshire, including the QE2 Hospital, Welwyn Garden City. During that time he successfully gained Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2004.

Assif entered specialist training in Prosthodontics at Guys Dental Hospital in 2004. During that time he completed a Master in Clinical Dentistry with his research area focusing on tooth wear and the effects of acids in the oral cavity. Also during that time in 2008 he was selected by the International College of Prosthodontics for their mentoring program as one of the leading young Prosthodontists internationally.

Throughout his career, Assif has been fortunate to be personally taught by some of the best clinicians both nationally and internationally. His particular interests are in aesthetic and implant dentistry as well as complex fullmouth rehabilitations, retreatment of failing dentistry, tooth wear and bite problems as well as complete or partial dentures.

Assif is an examiner for Warwick University and a course tutor for the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

Sara Geneen BChD(Leeds) 2001 MFGDP 

Sara graduated from Leeds University in 2001 and immediately started working in Hertfordshire, in 2003 joined Handside Dental Clinic as an Associate Dentist. Sara undertook a post-graduate course and obtained her Membership of the Faculty of Dental Practitioners. She has also undertaken the General Practice Training course where she attended weekly lectures and spent time shadowing hospital specialists.

Sara loves working in Welwyn Garden City and in a family based dental practice. “It’s nice to have been working at the same practice where I’ve seen the children grow up and some of them even go on to do dentistry themselves!” said Sara.

Sara is attending the core courses within the Continuous Professional Development programme for dentistry. She enjoys general practice, working with all age groups and being able to provide a wide range of treatments depending on her patients’ needs.She is also interested in the broad spectrum of dental care including restorative work, paediatric dentistry and root canal treatments.

In her spare time, Sara enjoys Tennis and is captain of the ladies’ team at her tennis club. She has a very
energetic dog that she loves walking and enjoys travelling. Sara particularly loves cooking and is always busy in the kitchen entertaining friends and family, and her children.

Ashil graduated from Cardiff University in 2007 and has since been working as a General Dental Practitioner offering both NHS and private treatment to patients. He has completed a wide range of courses in restorative, endodontic and aesthetic dentistry and uses these skills on a daily basis to improve patient confidence, and thrives to deliver high quality dental care. He is very dedicated to his job and is continuously developing his professional training.

Ashil has a great affinity with children, and has a calming, caring and thorough approach. He tries to show even the most reluctant patient, young or old, that visiting the dentist is not a daunting experience. He is well known for making his patients feel very relaxed and always makes every effort to make sure his patients are satisfied throughout their treatment journey. He has a genuine desire to do the best for his patients and will always make time to discuss any concerns a patient might have. 

Away from dentistry, Ashil enjoys football, and has a passion for cars and travelling. His weekends are reserved for spending time with his family and young children.

Hemant graduated from Queen Mary University of London in 2007 and Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry in 2012. Upon graduation Hemant was ranked in the top 50 dentists of all those who graduated nationally by the prestigious London Deanery. In 2015 Hemant went on to complete his postgraduate diploma and gain Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

Hemant continued his professional development working within the Department of Health pilot practice scheme, aiming to deliver the best health outcomes for patients and shaping the future of Dentistry provision in the United Kingdom. Hemant has held a number of positions of responsibility reflecting his continued professional development such as acting as the Private on-call Dentist for the entire Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire border encompassing over 50 practices.

Hemant is interested in a broad spectrum of dental care encompassing advanced cosmetic and restorative work, paediatric dentistry and oral surgery. 

In his spare time Hemant enjoys spending time with his family and friends, learning new languages and traveling.

Dr Mitul began his professional career as a teacher of Biology and Chemistry before he completed the Accelerated Graduate Dentistry programme at King’s College London where he graduated with honours.

After completing Dental Foundation Training with The London Deanery, he progressed to Dental Core Training at The Royal London Hospital, where he carried out complex endodontic treatment.

Mitul completed a Master’s degree in Endodontics at the prestigious UCL Eastman Dental Institute. He has a passion for Endodontics, which is evident in his dedication to his students and patients.

Dr Mitul has recently completed the Specialty Membership Examination in Endodontics and is a Clinical Lecturer in Endodontics at Queen Mary, University of London.

Outside of the surgery, Mitul enjoys spending time with his family and playing sport.
