Yes, Kenton Dental Centre run a 24 hour Emergency dental service, from 6pm on Fridays to 10pm on Sundays, including bank holidays. You will be seen by experienced clinicians, and we offer private emergency appoinments. If you have a dental emergency - whether it be for:

Dr Ahmed Mahammed is a highly qualified and experienced dentist who has dedicated his career to both general practice and hospital dentistry.

Since he graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2004, Dr Mahammed has built an exceptional clinical portfolio, practising at Kenton Dental Centre since 2011. With a keen commitment to advancing his skills, Dr Mahammed completed his Diploma in Implants from the Royal College of Surgeons and an ITI course in 2012, followed by specialised training in sinus augmentation in 2014. He also holds a master’s degree in dental Implantology and actively participates in annual training courses to ensure he delivers the latest dental care.

Dr Mahammed is particularly interested in oral surgery, implantology, and restorative dentistry. Over the years, he has placed hundreds of dental implants and has managed straightforward and complex cases with expertise. He is certified by the Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry (SAAD) and is well-versed in treating anxious patients.

To provide a calming treatment experience, he offers intravenous sedation (IV) and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). Additionally, he is certified in dental phobia management, helping patients feel comfortable and at ease. With a passion for bone augmentation and complex restorative cases, Dr Mahammed ensures that each patient receives exceptional and tailored care. He also enjoys sharing his expertise, having served as a Foundation Dental Trainer for new dentists, guiding them to excellence in practice.

Outside the clinic, Dr Mahammed is committed to philanthropy. Through organisations like Teeth Relief and A World Without Barriers, he provides dental education and treatment to underserved communities worldwide. Dr Mahammed is a respected member of the British Dental Association, the Faculty of General Dental Practice, and the Association of Dental Implantology. 

In addition to dentistry, he is an endurance cyclist who participates in charity rides globally and a passionate photographer who loves capturing diverse cultures through his lens.

Azim qualified as a dentist from the Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2001. Working in general practice for nearly 20 years, he has gained a vast amount of knowledge and experience enabling him to provide his patients with an uncompromised, excellent level of care. With a strong belief in preventative and minimally invasive dentistry, he places great emphasis on patient care and comfort, and his friendly and relaxed approach makes patients feel at ease.

He has been working at Kenton Dental Centre since 2014.

With the ever-evolving nature of dentistry, he understands the need to keep up to date with the latest techniques and treatments, continued training and education enable him to enhance his skills and deliver this to his patients. He has attended many courses covering different aspects of dentistry such as endodontics (root canal treatment), teeth whitening, cosmetic & aesthetic dentistry and Invisalign. Azim has also been taught at the world- renowned Eastman Dental Hospital.

When Azim is not working, he loves travelling and meeting up with friends and family. He’s a bit of a foodie, but balances this with going to the gym! He is a keen sports fan and particularly enjoys football, tennis, and Formula 1 motor racing. Azim also loves his thrill-seeking activities; his recent one being jumping off a plane!

When at home, his two lovely daughters keep him busy!
