Every year in December, Colosseum Dental hosts an annual conference and awards event for all employees across its network of 89 UK based practices. On 2nd December 2022, we were finally able to host our 2022 event, after 2 years of cancellations, as a result of COVID-19 lockdowns. Every single member of staff is encouraged to attend the conference, resulting in a turnout of over 450 delegates at this year’s event.
Our objective for the conference; is to bring the Colosseum Dental family together, for a day and evening of inspiration, collaboration and networking. Guest speakers are invited to deliver keynote talks that align with our principles and values. This year we enjoyed talks from athletics champion and Olympic athlete, Kriss Akabusi MBE. And customer service expert, Geoff Ramm. The key leadership team provided critical business updates and CEO, Claude Streit, presented Colosseum’s plan for growth and vision for the future.
A seated meal and celebration led into Colosseum’s annual awards presentation; where individuals, teams and practices were recognised and awarded for striving for (and achieving) excellence. The awards cover categories such as Dentist of the Year, Nurse of the Year, Hygienist of the Year, Receptionist of the Year, Manager of the Year, Practice of the Year and other specific awards that acknowledge the implementation of Colosseum’s values.
CEO, Claude Streit said: “It’s so important to congratulate and celebrate success. And I attribute that success to Colosseum’s main asset – our ‘people’. Shortlisting award-winners at Colosseum Dental is one of the hardest things to do, because the talent pool is so full. While our conference aims to inform, educate and inspire our teams; the awards and post-awards party is a celebration of our people, and the outstanding work they do every day.”
We’ve received fantastic feedback from staff, industry partners, sponsors and our guest speakers. So this year’s conference has seemingly raised the bar; setting a new standard for future events. We’re already planning our 2023 conference, which we hope will be our biggest and best yet!
